Eskimo Empire Podcast enters the huddle

As the CFL regular season starts to hit its stride, we’re happy to announce that the Eskimo Empire Podcast has joined our team!

Hosted by Andrew, Mike and Kayla, this is one of Edmonton’s longest-running podcasts. It offers a passionate look at the Esks and CFL football every Tuesday during the season (a little less frequently through the off-season). You can also get a sneak preview every Monday night on Twitter, just before they record their show from the Turf District.

If you don’t listen to Eskimo Empire yet, you may have heard a sampling on our network. Andrew recently guest-hosted on 2 and Out, and Kayla was on Tight Ends last June.

Eskimo Empire is an enthusiastic member of the CFL Podcast Network, as is 2 and Out, and we know it will be a great citizen of our community, too.

Be sure to subscribe in the podcatcher of your choice, and follow the show on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.

Many thanks to our founding sponsor, ATB Financial, and our other sponsors for making it possible to keep growing the network!

And Girl Tries Life talks to Kat Gaskin about the power of consistent planning, in business and in life.

Sports

The challenge with rounding up our sports podcasts every week is sometimes the things they preview — like the Stanley Cup or the NBA championship, for example — are over by the time we get a chance to talk to you here. But fear not — our podcasters always talk about more than just the game.

The CFL season has begun, so 2 and Out is coming out twice a week. They wrap up the preseason, then look ahead with Rod Smith of TSN. The 4th Line looks at Game 7 excitement and offseason moves, plus the wild joy in Toronto around the Raptors. Hockey Feels also shares its feelings about Game 7, and looks at the AHL champs and what’s going on in Arizona. (Also, never miss Rachel’s notes.) Tight Ends wraps up all the sporty happenings (which doesn’t include NFL, as it happens) and gets ready for summer. And Loyal Company of the River Valley gets ready for the Voyageurs Cup.

All of this is possible because of sponsors and partners. Also, be sure to fill out our listener survey before June 17!
