Celebrating moms and noms — The week on APN, May 1-7

Along with our general fanfare for APN’s showing on the 2021 Canadian Podcast Awards shortlists this week, we’re also celebrating moms of all sorts: New moms, to-be moms, chosen moms, and fur moms, too.

Take along a playlist and pay tribute to your own mom this weekend — wherever she is, we’re sure she’ll appreciate the thought.

The “subscribe” button on any of the Listen Notes playlists will let you grab a playlist for your podcatcher. Sample the shows below, or check out the full week’s roundup on Spotify.

Dance to your own drum — The week on APN — April 24-30

April 29 marked International Dance Day, and while it may have been an occasion different from the usual, plenty of performers around the world took to YouTube and TikTok to celebrate; some of our faves were on CBC's list of Canadian dancers bringing good vibes to the internet, which included Calgary contemporary choreographer Sabrina Naz Comănescu, and Gurdeep Pandher, everyone's fave Bhangra boss from Whitehorse.

Whether your jam is ballet or flamenco or jigging or hip hop — or even if you prefer to admire from the comfort of your sofa — take some time this week to shimmy along with the newest listens care of the APN troupe.
