Hello out there? On a mission for new listens — The week on APN — Feb. 13–19

Perhaps it's that we've all been cloistered lately, but news of NASA's successful landing of its Mars rover gave humanity a little something to celebrate this week. Its mission? To search for signs of life on the red planet. Its name? Perseverance.

As we work through the troubles plaguing our own sphere, the thought that we might not be alone in the universe feels kinda nice. As ever, the crew at APN are here with new listens to accompany you through all of life's voyages, intergalactic and otherwise.

Family Fishin’ with Fresh Listens — The week on APN Feb. 6-12

It's Family Day weekend, and that means it's one of two annual opportunities to venture out on Alberta's lakes and drop a line without needing a fishing licence. And while you may be wary of the windchill and life's other stresses, it's worthwhile to take a note from the winter-wise Finns, who regard ice fishing as a form of meditation.

As you step out on that placid tundra with your cohort, bring along your podcatcher and the week's new listens from the team at APN.
