Welcome our latest sponsor — YESS Painting!

Yess Logo - FINAL (1).jpg

The Alberta Podcast Network, powered by ATB, is thrilled to welcome our latest sponsor, YESS Painting!

YESS Painting is a new social enterprise that has started in Edmonton to help you spruce up your house while giving youth who have had it rough a chance to build a better future for themselves.

It works just like any other contract painting service — the difference is that the work is done by young people who have been involved with Youth Empowerment & Support Services, which helps 15- to 21-year-olds who are facing difficult realities such as homelessness, trauma, addictions or neglect. YESS Painting teaches business skills and life skills, pays the workers a living wage, and donates half of the profits to YESS.

Nathan Kawulka came up with the idea, and is applying his experience in the painting and construction industries to make it work. It's clear from talking to him that he cares deeply about equipping people with the skills, experience and money they need. YESS Painting's tagline is "Making the world a better place one job at a time," and if you spend a few minutes with Nathan, you'll see he believes that mission with all his heart.

He also loves podcasts, which makes him our kind of people! He saw an opportunity to let the listeners of the Alberta Podcast Network know about YESS Painting and consider doing some good while getting a job done around the house. We're excited to spread the word over the next few months.

You'll hear more about YESS Painting from our podcasters, and we'll be sharing more of the story in the coming weeks. Sign up for a free quote to see what YESS Painting can do for you. You can also see the training in action by following @YESSPainting on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
